So you will probably need a Mac Pro.I hope I've been able to help someone. Also note that upgrading to Leopard takes about two hours. I called Apple they told me to check for updates. Don't get concerned if it looks like the installation has stalled, it just takes a LONG time.I like Leopard but its new features are more fun than productive. The following happened to me: My "Mail" application was not working on my G5.
Also, you must have an Intel processor to upgrade to Snow Leopard. This updated me to 10.5.8 and everything works fine. My previous email messages didn't appear and the program wouldn't quit unless I did a force quit. After you install OS X 10.5.6 check for software updates ("Software Update" under the Apple menu) especially if you are having application problems. And even though I could go online with a web browser, I couldn't send or receive mail.
So does adding the updates.
Overall it's fine but the loss of the "Classic Environment" is a bummer. My laptop was running on an earlier OS and in order to watch any videos online or update much of my other software I had to update my OS t Leopard. Also, I have been having trouble hooking up USB devices and having my computer recognize they are there.
It appears to be working just fine. Glad I could find this software since Apple Stores do not carry it anymore.
I bought an Apple MacBook Pro MC118LL/A 15.4-Inch Laptop and it cames with Snow Leopard Operation System. What I want to know is if I buy the OS Leopard, an older version, can I install in this Mac book. I would like to know if somebody can help me. I have a program that doesn't go with this OS.
It installed with no issues and I love the new look and feel. It seems like it runs much faster, too.
